Unlocking the secrets of success and high performance

Holistic Life Mastery

A long time ago, in my old life, when I was sleepwalking through my days, I began to wake up to how I was handing my power over to an outdated story, a culture, society, religion, and my own low self-worth. I was craving the kind of freedom that can come when we start to see that we had the power all along. And when it came—I latched onto this truth and made it the new backbone of my days. I clung on for dear life.

“I’m in charge now” became my new outlook, and for the most part, it served me extremely well.

“Life by design,” “create your own reality,” “you are the boss of your life,” “mind over matter,” “just do it”—these were phrases I bought into without a shadow of a doubt. I still do. So please don’t misunderstand this as an invitation to down your alchemistic power tools, revert to victimhood, switch back from the driver’s seat to the passenger seat, or let life live you rather than you living it.

But there is more to this equation, and that is what I will share with you today.

The equation for upGrade

If you’ve read my book I Am UpGrading or come across my online content, you may already be familiar with my self-created equation for living a successful, free, and happy life:

Heart + Mind + Universe = UpGrade

  • Our heart—which is now scientifically proven to have its own brain-like intelligence—tells us where to go, what to pursue, and how to proceed.
  • Our mind helps us strategize, plan, and troubleshoot.
  • The universe—limitless and energetic—intervenes on our behalf and works with the forces of nature, planetary movements, and cosmic rhythms.

In theory, we are powerful beings with limitless potential. We can transcend blocks and obstacles, co-create miraculous turnarounds, and forge our own paths.

But we are also complex and multi-layered. Life is rarely as simple as it seems in fairy tales or movies.

Since the universe is all-encompassing and energetic in nature, we cannot ignore its role in our lives. The earth, stars, planets, seasons, and moon cycles are all part of this cosmic backdrop. While we always have free will, we are also interconnected with the same force that makes flowers bloom in spring, tides rise and fall, and animals instinctively hibernate in winter.

I will always be an advocate of self-mastery, mindset training, emotional intelligence development, and resilience. But I also believe in a holistic approach—everything is connected.

When we acknowledge our connection to the cosmos, astrology, and nature, we unlock deeper levels of power and potential.

The moon’s influence

I will never forget my first full moon living on the beach in Goa. The beach disappeared rapidly, and we were urged—albeit semi-urgently—to retreat indoors rather than staying out on the sand until late at night.

If the moon can impact vast bodies of water like the Arabian Sea, imagine how it affects us humans.

Since we are around 75% water, and our emotions are tied to this element, we often experience heightened emotions, mood fluctuations, and fatigue during full or new moons.

How to work with the moon cycles

  • Observe your emotions – Track how you feel during full and new moons.
  • Adjust your schedule – Listen to your body and allow yourself more rest when needed.
  • Use full moons for release – A time to clear out old energy and let go.
  • Use new moons for new beginnings – A time to start fresh projects and set new intentions.

Traditionally, women menstruated with the full moon and took time to rest, processing and clearing both physically and emotionally. For both men and women, full moons can be a time for deep reflection, journaling, and realignment

Being aware of the moon cycle can help you reduce anxiety, understand your emotions, and navigate life with more ease

The power of the seasons

Even though I prefer tropical winters over cold climates, I acknowledge the wisdom of the seasons and their influence on our lives.

Each season holds a distinct energy, theme, and purpose. Previous generations—especially those in agriculture—designed their lives around these cycles to enhance productivity and well-being.

How to work with the seasons

  • Autumn – A time for harvesting the rewards of your labor and reflecting on the year.
  • Winter – A time for rest, introspection, and planning for the next cycle of growth.
  • Spring – A time for new beginnings, action, and expansion—ideal for launching projects.
  • Summer – A time for momentum, visibility, and celebration of progress made.

Western culture often pushes against this natural rhythm—forcing productivity in winter when our bodies crave rest. Instead of resisting, listen to your body, honor your energy levels, and align your efforts with nature’s cycles

Understanding your own life cycles

Just like the moon and seasons, we have our own personal cycles, patterns, and themes

Yes, you have the power to create change. But sometimes, a situation must play itself out before transformation can fully take hold.

You can speed up the process through self-mastery, but certain deeply rooted patterns will only shift when the time is right

Top tip: Leave no stone unturned

  • Just when you think you’ve cracked the code, look again
  • Peel back another layer of self-awareness.
  • Stay open to seeing things differently.
  • Growth stops when we think we already know everything.

You can build yourself up while simultaneously dismantling outdated conditioning. Healing, awareness, and success happen in phases—so embrace the mystery of it all.

It’s written in the stars

I once refused to believe in cosmic influences because I couldn’t see them. But the more I woke up, the more I felt the direct impact of planetary movements, astrology, and cosmic UpGrades

I am not an astrologer, but I now work with these energies rather than against them

Trying to force ourselves into a certain state, despite what is happening cosmically, leads to stress, burnout, and misalignment

If you are on a path of ascension and transformation, you are not exempt from these influences. As the universe UpGrades itself, so do you.

How to work with cosmic energy

  • Develop self-awareness – Pay attention to shifts in your energy, thoughts, and emotions.
  • Align with cosmic rhythms – Learn to ride the waves rather than resist them.
  • Trust the process – Growth isn’t linear, and the universe is always working in your favour.

Final thoughts

You are part of a much bigger picture—one that extends far beyond the physical senses.

If something keeps appearing in your life, nudging or pulling at you, pay attention. The universe is always offering guidance and support

Lean into your heart, engage your mind, and trust the universal flow—because when you do, your next UpGrade is inevitable.

Remember, you are a part of a much bigger picture that is not limited to what you can think, see, touch, taste, and hear with your five senses. If something is on your mind, in your heart, nudging you or yanking at you for attention—to change something, to expand, or to realign—take notice and take a chance for change. Life, the cosmos, the stars, and the entire universe are always providing you with loving support and guidance.
